A changing landscape for the legal profession
Since the introduction of the Legal Services Act in 2007, the number of bodies that can now legitimately offer legal services has expanded rapidly. Organisations such as supermarkets, retail organisations and membership bodies now compete head-on with solicitors and barristers.
However, this legislation has also made access to barristers far simpler and has allowed individuals or organisations to directly engage their services without having to go via a solicitor as an intermediary.
The purpose of this ad was to educate and inform solicitors and business leaders that they could now access the barrister’s expertise directly. The ad, which was placed in a respected business publication, defined the relationships between the legal profession and businesses.
Fenners commissioned Ben8 & Co to create some ads that were placed in Cambridge University publications to attract high calibre recruits.
